Active Grading Media

Due to the worse conditions of the crude oils feed into the refineries, heavy and non-conventional crude oil increased to higher level, this is a big challenge to the hydro-processing technology and catalyst, to avoid catalyst poisoning and mitigating the pressure drop and eliminate the contaminants.

SINOCATA developed serial grading catalyst solutions which help to extend the life cycle of the hydro-processing unit. For active grading catalyst, SINOCATA has hollow ring, trilobe, quadralobe shaped products with Ni, Mo, NiMo, CoMo impregnated.

Application

GCR Serial is a NiMo/CoMo hollow rings with mild activity designed which is used as active top bed grading media in a variety of hydroprocessing unit applications. The products has very excellent physical strength, also provides high void space for particulate trapping. These rings can be used along with GCT serial trilobes, GCQ serial quadralobes grading catalyst which are typically loaded above the main bed catalyst and for better flow distribution. GCR Seria’s hydrogenation activity reduces the rate of bed fouling caused by coke deposition compared to inert topping media and also reduces the amount of polymerization reactions in olefinic feeds compared to standard hydrotreating catalysts and inert materials.

SINOCATA offer the size 3.2mm, 4.8mm, 6.4mm and 9.0mm for Active Grading Rings which were delivered at very low cost to maximize overall catalyst life cycle.

Application

  • Bed hold-down at the top of the catalyst bed.
  • Provide pressure drop relief.
  • Optimize the flow distribution.
  • Capture of particulates and other contaminants in the feed.

GCC-N25 is a NiMo cylinder designed and used as bed grading in a variety of hydroprocessing unit applications which has very excellent physical properties and performance. This shaped extrudate, typically loaded on the top of the main catalyst bed and below other inert and active grading materials such as SINOCATA’s GCR serial NiMo Rings.

GCC-C25 is a CoMo cylindrical extrudate type , both of them provides optimized flow distribution and pressure drop control along with moderate hydrogenation activity ahead of the main bed high activity HDS/HDN catalysts.

Customized sizes are also available upon request.

CGT serial Trilobes grading catalyst deliver at a very cost effective and environmental friendly way to maximize overall catalyst life since they are manufactured utilizing carefully selected high quality regenerated catalyst as a portion of their formulation. Customized GCT serial extrudate diameters are also available upon request.
