Pseudoboehmite is an aluminium compound with the chemical composition AlO(OH). It consists of finely crystalline boehmite. However, the water content is higher than in boehmite which is widely used as adsorbent, desiccant, catalyst and catalytic carrier manufacturing.

Pseudoboehmite (Specialty) produced by Technique of Aluminium Sulfate is pseudo­boehmite in essential, shortly as PB. Thus, it is widely used as adsorbent, desiccant, catalyst and catalytic carrier in the industries of refinery, rubber, chemical fertilizer, petrochemical and so on. Special pseudoboehmite featured with large pore volume and huge surface area is one of the main raw materials for hydrogenation catalysts carrier.
