Mercury Removal

Mercury content in crude oil is a growing problem for the refiners. Much of the mercury in crude oil and refined product streams existed in elemental form. Almost all hydrocarbons contain mercury, include natural gas, LNG, naphtha which it is likely to be present as elemental mercury or as organo-metallic and ionic mercury. Elemental mercury is a relatively low boiling species. Mercury present could poison downstream catalysts such as in the catalytic reformer or isomerisation unit. SINOCATA offer a serial of the mercury adsorbents which are designed to remove mercury from naphtha and other gaseous effluent streams effectively which are using highest active metal content as active components, provide the optimal dispersion and the best mass transfer characteristics.

The main risks when mercury is presented in your feed:

  • High levels of mercury will cause health problems to your workers
  • Corrosion to your process equipment such as the reactor and piples
  • Poisoning of expensive downstream precious metal catalysts
  • Emissions to the environment cause pollution problems

SINOCATA offer a serial of the mercury adsorbent for natural gas, LNG, LPG, condensates and naphtha.

Application

TMR-10, Dia.2-4mm, Sphere, Bulk density: 700 – 800KG/m3, it is the adsorbent for the mercury removal from the gas phase like natural gas, coal gas etc.

TMR-40, Dia.4 x 5-20mm, Cylindrical extrudate, Bulk density: 600KG/m3, which is suitable for atmospheric temperature operation, it is the adsorbent for the mercury removal from the gas phase like natural gas, coal gas etc.
